Ok this week has been awesome- The Human League, Soul II Soul, Lloyd Yates, Sadie & The Hotheads (lead singer the american on downton abbey) Wychwood Festival, Moulettes, and Philip Ardagh retweeted my photographs of them! Some even want to use them on their web pages, I must really work a bit harder to get more jobs like this.
My photography for new album release ‘Sleeping Pills & Lullabies’ from the brilliant Luna Rossa! They’re currently featured in the June issue of Prog Magazine with a stunning 3 page feature!
The final day of Wychwood Festival 2013! A fantastic 3 days shooting for the festival. Bill Bailey to The Human League, my favourite hairy man Philip Ardagh, to the Parade, an absolutely fantastic time!
Here we have part of today’s bill, Bill Bailey, Sadie & The Hotheads, The Dualers’ (trumpeter) and Philip Ardagh getting in the way with his books again! Lloyd Yates & Craig Charles!
Saturday 2nd June working at Wychwood Festival 2013, here are some of my favourite highlights so far. The Human League, Caravan Palace, The Wedding Present, Lo’Jo, Paul Ewing, Moulettes, Philip Ardagh and Tony de Saulles. Only tomorrow to go, then it’s onto a large amount of editing!
Shooting for Wychwood Festival 2013, here are three shots of tonight’s Friday night show. Toploader, Girls having fun infront of The Beat and Soul II Soul headlining a great show. Can’t wait for Human League tomorrow and Bill Bailey Sunday!
I love jumping spiders. They are easily anthropomorphised (pretended to be human) due to their big anterior median eyes (the two big ones at the front). Easily the cutest of the spiders. If I could hug one, I would!
Gloucestershire Cheese Rolling at Cooper’s Hill 2013.
The event (now ‘unofficial’ due to health and safety) attracts tens of thousands of visitors annually near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. A round of Double Gloucester cheese is thrown from the top of the very steep hill and the first person over the finish line at the bottom of the hill wins the cheese, it reaches speeds of up to 70mph!
It’s springtime EVERYWHERE! Even the molluscs are at it! I know this is going to be a controversial line but - I can’t wait for a misty/damp day so I can get some Roman snails mating. Even though molluscs are hermaphroditic - they’re an ironic bunch! THAT will be a cool photo.
I was presented with an award on Monday 20th May 2013 for my landscape photography. The Glenlivet in association with Country Life awarded me an award recognising my landscape shot of ‘Cheltenham in a sea of cloud’ as a natural local legacy. The day of celebration was held at local Cotswold Wildlife Park by The Glenlivet (Scottish whisky manufacturers) where we had a whisky tasting alongside the presentation. A great day was had by all, especially myself, as I’m now enjoying my win of 21 year old single malt Scottish whisky for the shot.
